SNL Scraps: An Election Special Looms As Benedict Confronts Studio 8H

First, we have a quick teaser to whet our appetites before the main promo. I have to say, I’m enjoying the fairly high production values. It’s not very long, but for a simple episode teaser, it’s much more than what usually happens. I hope that Benedict isn’t too nervous, but maybe he can use some wizardly powers to make the process of hosting less agonizing. By the hoary hosts of Hoggoth, let me stop time so I can take a few minutes to meditate, then go on stage for my monologue!

Next, the day before Election Day, SNL will run a one-hour special that goes over some of the more recent political moments on the show. Sure, it’s essentially an overspecified clip show, but the recent political humor has been top-notch, so I’m planning on seeing it. Titled The 2016 SNL Election Special, it’ll show a satirically warped version of this year’s election. I’m calling it now, it’ll have the sketch with Hillary Clinton interacting with her comedy doppelganger. It’ll air at ten pm on Monday, November 7th.

Are you excited for the show? Will you be sitting down for the election special or just curled up in the fetal position, praying for an end to the electoral madness? Tell me down below!
