Breaking news from NBC, the rumored Weekend Update spinoff has become a reality! This summer, starting on August 10th, Weekend Update will begin a four-week run. The episodes will run for a half an hour. Colin Jost and Michael Che are still attached as the anchors, but other cast members will make appearances, presumably for guest commentary.
I don't know about you, but I'm predicting a Kate McKinnon appearance in all of the episodes. It's also nice to not have to wait until late September or October to get some live comedy. Sure, it might not be for as long, but it'll still be entertaining.
Zachary Krishef is an evil genius. Do not question his knowledge of Saturday Night Live trivia or Harry Potter books.
