• There has been plenty of criticism regarding Mass Effect: Andromeda, Bioware’s new installment in its action-RPG epic. Alec Meer of Rock, Paper, Shotgun argues that the series would improve a lot if it became a more human science-fiction, like The Expanse. Meanwhile, Fraser Brown criticizes the game’s handling of one its biggest draws--romance--and describes them as being the most forgettable in all of Bioware's titles, despite being technically the most elaborate.


• Seventeen discusses the first ever trans romance on a teen drama in "The Fosters." Spoilers ahead, so beware.

• As one of his last acts as President, Obama commuted Chelsea Manning's prison sentence. NBC examines how Chelsea Manning has become such an important symbol for Transgender-Americans.

The AV Club: The first trailer for the heartrending film A Dog’s Purpose has been released. The film is based on a popular book; both the film and the book give us a dog's first-person perspective as he goes through various changes in his life. Bring tissues! (Zach)
