• Vox revisits the Gamergate controversy, and talks about how Zoe Quinn has survived and is now speaking out about the idiocy of allowing the so-called "alt-right" AKA ACTUAL NAZIS the free reign to have a public platform. 


• Okay but why? Inexplicably, the Emmys became the stage upon which Sean Spicer, Trump's former spokesperson, was allowed to rebrand himself, and join in on the joke that he was once the butt of. 

For today's musical hit, we have Miike Snow and "Genghis Khan," because I adore a good gay love story, especially when it involves a super spy and a super villain. And a super catchy tune.

None of these stories have anything to do with MLP, I just mad about Confederate

• Today in "Shit We Don't Need" News, alt-right superhero Stick Man is getting his own comic book (thankfully independently and NOT by any of the known comic publishers out there). Because what we need more of in pop culture is hatred, I guess. 


• Because we're still mad at HBO and that whole Confederate nonsense (the show that envisions an alternate universe with the South won the war), here's a list from Huffpost that suggests five other historical shows that HBO should make before they make Confederate.
