SNL Scraps: Drink Some Good Spit In This Week's Promos!

I was absolutely delighted when they announced the SNL guests for April. Julia Louis-Dreyfus is a wonderful comedian. Seinfeld is a show that can cheer me up whenever I watch it. I have yet to watch Veep, as I don’t have HBO, but I have heard wonderful things about it. The promos for this week’s episode star Bobby Moynihan (an SNL powerhouse) and Julia talking in a diner. They joke about Julia’s many recurring characters, with a nod to how she hasn't had a very successful time on the show, and her hit show, Veep.

Predictions: In an attempt to make these more interesting, I am going to put down my predictions for the episode. Will they come true? Maybe, maybe not.

  1. Larry David will appear as Bernie Sanders, leading to a Seinfeld reunion. Fun fact: Larry David was actually a writer on SNL, from 1984 to 1985. He didn’t have much success, leading to a memorable moment where he declared his intentions to quit, did so, then returned the next day like nothing had ever happened. Julia was on the show at around the same time and it lead to her starring role as Elaine Benes.
  2. Dreyfus’s hit political comedy show, Veep, will be mashed up with either Hillary Clinton, Donald Trump, or Bernie Sanders.
  3. There will be a cameo from some Veep or Seinfeld cast members in the monologue.

Be sure to catch the show this Saturday, featuring Julia Louis-Dreyfus and Nick Jonas!
